       Hi,

  • Can someone tell me name of some waterborne organic-inorganic hybrid ?
  • Presently,  i am working with 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane and 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane for formulation of various type of surface coating. Sol can be prepared form these alkoxides in water as solvent.
  • So, i want  to know some silane based organic-inorganic hybrid ( with different organofunctionalities) which undergoes hydrolysis and condensation in water as a major solvent ( waterborne system).

you may try colloidal silica (silica sol)- 40% SiO2, of large particle size, say about 20 - 21 nanometer.

Hi,
you can find many silens with different functional groups. Try to look at www.sigma-aldrich.com, or you can buy it from various producers (e.g. Degussa)
You can try to find some co-polymers based on PVA, PVP etc.
