Hello All,
Im working on TiO2 films made by sol-gel method.
Im making them by 1) TTIP + Ethanol + HCL & 2) TTIP + Propanol + 2M HCL.
The sol is then spin-coated on the substrate(oxidized Si & glass) of dimensions 10mm x 10mm.
After spin coating once & annealing, some portion of the films are peeling off at the edges. spin coating done at 2000 rpm for 40 secs.
Also i went on to spin-coat an additional time, & this time after annealing the peeling increased towards the center aswell.
The peeling off was more prominent in 2nd method.
Not from chemistry or material background, so difficult to comprehend the reasons for the same!
Inputs from others will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
Mehul.

I suggest you to dilute your sol then spin coating it.
