hi every body
firstly, i would like to thank every body who answerd on my questions and to every body in this very good group
secondly
is there any one works on the dye sensitized solar cells DSSC
if so
i have a problem in the fabrication of the cell, when i construct a primative DSSC, i could get a high output current (=80uA), however it doesnot still constant, it decreases rapidly why i didnot know?
the method that i have used as follows:
1- deposition of thin film of Tio2 nanoparticles by spray pyrolysis and then calcination at 450C for 30min
2- dip coating of the coated glass by ethanolic solution of fluorecene dye
3- the electrolyte consistes of (0.05I2 + 0.5 KI) in ethyene glycol
4- the cathode is graphite coated conductive glass

many thanks for any help
and best wishes

Did you ever get a reply on your question about the dye sensitized solar cell and the current drop?

Hi,

From my point of view, the circulation of current within your cells didn't go very well. That's why you observed high current at the beginning, which dropped quickly. It is like you are charging a capacitor... It seems to me that the TiO2-dye part worked fine. The dye were generating photoelectrons. However, somehow, they didn't get "reduced" sufficiently, which caused the current down.

It might be the redo migration within EG or the Graphite that can't sufficiently reduce I3-. (suggest: using Pt, instead of Graphite)
