Nanomaterials Research Corp.
Nanomaterials research corporation develop, manufacture and market novel powders of advanced materials and high value-added devices and products derived from these nano-engineered powders. The technology is based on a continuous process that produces nanoscale powders from different types of precursor material by evaporating the material and quenching the vaporized phase in a converging-diverging expansion nozzle.  Company's specific products description can be downloaded in pdf files Nano-engineered Dopants, Nano-engineered Dispersion, Hydrogen Sensors for Fuel Cells & Industrial Applications, Nano-engineered NOx Sensors, Nano-engineered BX Capacitors, Nano-engineered PTCR Thermistors
Nanophase Technologies Corp
The company’s origins can be traced to research performed in the 1980s at Argonne National Laboratory, where the beginnings of a unique process to fabricate nanomaterials was developed. Nanophase further refined and developed this process, called Physical Vapor Synthesis (PVS). It consists of using a plasma to heat and vaporize a precursor metal.  The vapor metal is coolled by a flux of gaz and condenses into liquid molecular clusters. Then a reactive gaz is introduced in the chamber and react with the nanodroplet to produce the nanoparticles. They have already in their catalogue the following oxides Al2O3, Sb3Oa:SnO2, CuO, In2O3:SnO2, Fe2O3, Y2O3, ZnO. Particles which size is in the range of 20-100 nm can be on demand surface engineered (i.e; caping) to meet specific customers requirements.
